I found this story very interesting, and another pointer of what DNA research can do.

I do wonder about the reference in the article to the "London Record Office", does that mean what is now the London Metropolitan Archives?. DNA may help but it can also cause upset if the person is still alive, it does also rely on access to records. I find it awful that you can just abandon a baby, especially in wartime in London.
