Just spotted this entry in the 1891 census which made me smile.
Richard Lewis Davis, a 38 year old grocer is listed as 'Much married'. I was puzzled by this until I saw the note in the 'infirmity' column which states Richard is, 'According to my wife deficient in common sense'.
