We welcome any query on Who When Where. If you have previously posted it on another forum (including the old WDYTYA forum), please state this in your opening post - this will save people redoing the research which has been done before: they can look at it and possibly go further with it.

1921 census transcription issues

I recently “upgraded “ my Find my Past subscription to include unlimited access to the 1921 census. Using Family Tree Analyser I extracted all the records from my tree (I use Family Historian) and started going through them. Find my past

It looks like FMP have been fiddling around with their home page again. I always use the “Search all record sets” option to search and the other day it disappeared. It then came back but now appears to have gone again. The quickest way to get to it now appears to be to click on the three bars (top r...

My Heritage DNA

Until Sunday 8th, My Heritage are allowing you to upload your DNA from some other providers free of charges (it says forever). Easiest way is probably to search for “upload dna results to my heritage” which took me straight to the start page. You need to create a free account if you don’t have one b...

The image in the Genealogist is a bit better!
Patrick Welsh is a labourer
Richard Taylor ditto
Rochard Connor - tailor
William Smith - wheelwright
Henry Skinner - possibly a knife maker
Robert Wardle - plasterer
Emily Hooper - laundress

Re: Samuel Allcock 1753

Hucknall Torkard has 79 images for overseers records But in them, starting image 48 , are some parish register transcripts. I don't know by whom, or when, or why https://www.familysearch.org/records/images/image-details?imageGroupNumbers=8068205&rmsId=M99Q-S83&imageIndex=47&singleView=t...
