We welcome any query on Who When Where. If you have previously posted it on another forum (including the old WDYTYA forum), please state this in your opening post - this will save people redoing the research which has been done before: they can look at it and possibly go further with it.

Re: What has happened to Family Search?

We are not alone.....https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/101157/new-search-interface I just read a few of the above mentioned comments, and I had a sense of deja vu! Whilst searching on FMP for census results for an individual, I saw there were 2 results available for 1851. Great I tho...

Re: Names

Don’t forget godparents, grandparents or sponsors. They are often added as middle names.

Re: What has happened to Family Search?

Out of interest, what browser are you using? I was doing something for my wife on her new PC which had MS Edge - terrible experience! Now I know why I don't like MS. They've never heard of "Keep it simple, stupid' (KISS), always doing what it thinks I want, rather than letting me do what I know I wa...

Re: What has happened to Family Search?

Just visited site on my iPad, and it looks the same to me. Albeit lately I do have to login quite often, 2 or 3 times a day, as it logs me out if I don’t keep it busy. This is despite ticking the ‘keep me logged in for 2 weeks”

What is different for you?

Re: MOR Records Project

Thunder,
I have just realised you are talking about MOD records, not MOR records as this topic is tiltled. May I suggest you edit the title to correct this.
Others, like me may have skipped over the topic, not knowing what MOR records were :D

Re: Ancestry Glitch?

I wouldn’t day it has just started to do that, but they modify the site on a regular basis, so I’m not surpised. Perhaps they’ve only just modified the Print page, but I know the Family tree page has been like that for quite a while. They’ve never heard the expression if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it...

Re: Ancestry Glitch?

Check Ancestry hasn’t opened a new browser tab for the print option. if it has, you can’t go back using the back arrows! To go back, you have to close the print tab. This should put you back to the original browser tab containing your search results Ancestry has an annoying habit of opening new tabs...

Re: Burial Management System

There was an article on ITV news at ten last night, showing how they do it, with a man wearing backpack fitted GPS and with five high res cameras plus infra red/laser. He looked like a walking google view photographic system. They never mentioned the radar bit, but they do intend to visit and plot ‘...
