We welcome any query on Who When Where. If you have previously posted it on another forum (including the old WDYTYA forum), please state this in your opening post - this will save people redoing the research which has been done before: they can look at it and possibly go further with it.

Re: Identity of Uniform
Not that it would probably help, but The Genealogist website has the 1915 Voter's List for Swindon. Also, it looks like Horace Bayliss was a postal worker in Swindon, according to Ancestry records. I think there are a few Swindon postal worker records for an Albert E Morse, as well. But I'm sure it...

Re: Identity of Uniform
... Unfortunately no absent voters registers for Wiltshire survive for 1918-1920, ... Oh double bother. Though I'm not surprised as their survival rate seems odd. So far as I recollect from the above correspondence then, there's nothing to say which out of those 2 guys is yours. He's probably the o...

Re: Identity of Uniform

Unfortunately no absent voters registers for Wiltshire survive for 1918-1920, though we do have the main electoral registers for this period which we could search if you wish, ...

Re: Identity of Uniform
Hi VALLMO9
I now don't believe it is again! Ancestry is playing tricks on me!
As you can possibly tell I am new to all this.
I know on the 1911 Census he lived at 19 Edmund Street, Swindon, however I can't work out how to locate his records.

Re: Identity of Uniform
Hi Adrian Regarding your find: It's possible to do a bit of preliminary guesswork - for instance, there are several Morse / Hunt marriages in FreeBMD but this looks interesting: Surname First name(s) District Vol Page Marriages Dec 1893 (>99%) Hunt Annie Highworth 5a 27 Morse William John B Highwort...

Re: Would love to Identify these people!
Hi Phsvm,
Again I think I may need to delve deeper, as I have only just received my Great Grandparents from my Nanas sides Marriage Certificate in order me to dig a little deeper on that side.
Hopefully i'll have more info soon.
Thanks
Emma
